Martin co-founded 3scale networks and currently leads its US operations. 3scale is a leading provider of cloud computing infrastructure with scalable & cost-efficient Web Services management tools. He has built the company from zero to a leading player in the industry with renowned customers in e-commerce, online media, enterprise services and Internet infrastructure.

Previously, Martin was a senior management consultant with Oliver Wyman and led consulting teams for Fortune 500 clients (e.g. Vodafone, Telefónica) on corporate strategy, branding, customer segmentation, user experience, marketing strategy and planning. He orchestrated the commercial launch of two new mobile network operators in Europe and the Middle East, winning market leadership in each country within two years. Martin proved cross-functional leadership as a senior manager for T-Mobile International where he guided and managed a global strategic mobile operator alliance with an accumulated EBITDA improvement of $200 million. For T-Mobile he launched innovative core voice & messaging propositions which are today the operator’s major margin contributors. He began his career with Siemens in 1997 and has also held management positions with Lufthansa, Droege & Comp and Viant.

Martin holds an MBA from Munich School of Management, Germany.
